Global Social Venture Competition 2017: Africa Round

A Global Competition to Launch the Next Generation of Social Entrepreneurs

The Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC) is a global competition that empowers the next generation of social entrepreneurs by providing them with mentoring, exposure, and prize money to transform their ideas into fundable, scalable ventures that address the world’s most pressing challenges. Teams from across the globe learn how to design scalable models through a process that emphasizes stakeholder discovery, business innovation, and social impact assessment.

Early-stage social ventures from across the globe with at least one undergraduate or graduate student or recent alumni are invited to apply by December 5, 2016. Regional Semifinals across the globe take place in February/March 2017, and the Global Finals will be held April 5-7, 2017 at UC Berkeley, where the top teams from each region will compete for $80,000 in prize money.
